Implementing ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor Training

This CQI and IRCA Certified ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor Training Course is based on assisting, verifying, and enhancing the competencies and capabilities of the participant to effectively audit a complete QMS based on ISO 9001:2015 requirements with specific emphasis on 2nd Party auditing (Customer/Supplier audits) and 3rd Party auditing (Certification Bodies).

Central to course completion, the participant will complete a Consultant-Trainer facilitated systematic audit of a QMS. The facilitated audit of the QMS will cover the full audit life cycle as defined by ISO 19011:2018. The participant will have to demonstrate and be assessed on the effective application of audit tools and techniques.

This is a 4-day, instructor-led, virtual or classroom course. Before registering for this course, participants must be familiar with ISO 9001:2015 Requirements or have completed a recognized QMS Fundamentals course based on ISO 9001:2015. See additional course prerequisites below.

You will be assessed based on participation and performance throughout the course. This includes all exercises, role plays, case studies, and all other activities during the course. Please note that full attendance is required during the training course.

There will be a two-hour written examination at the end of the course, to be completed within 30 days after training is completed. The exam is closed book in that a participant is entitled to use only their copy of the International Standard(s) in question or dictionary if delivery language is not their native language. The minimum pass rate for the examination is 70%.

Please note: Class participation is valid only for the person registered for the class.  No other participants are permitted to attend the course without a paid registration.

Course Prerequisites

Before taking this course, participants are expected to know the following quality management principles and concepts:

  • The Plan, Do, Check, Act (PDCA) cycle.
  • The relationship between quality management and customer satisfaction.
  • Commonly used quality management terms and definitions and the 8 Quality Principles in ISO 9000.
  • The process approach used in quality management.
  • The Model of a Process-Based Quality Management System, the structure and content of ISO 9001.
  • Knowledge of the requirements of ISO 9001:2015 may be gained by completing a CQI and IRCA-certified QMS Foundation Training course or equivalent.

Training is provided by Kelmac Group who works with leading organizations, industry professionals, and public agencies across the private, public, and social sectors.

Cancellation Policy
The cancellation fee is $50 plus the costs of any books or materials that were shipped on the participant’s behalf. If the class is cancelled greater than 30 days, all funds will be returned to participants. If the participant wishes to transfer to another course, it must be within 6 months. Paid participants who fail to attend without written notice within 30 days of the class will be offered but not guaranteed a transfer or refund.
